abstract:
The core injection system and streaming potential tester under laboratory simulated formation conditions were used to conduct injection experiments on a medium sandstone specimen,and the variation of fluid streaming potential in sandstone under different injection pressure and solution salinity was studied.In order to verify the actual situation of flow potential generation during field formation water injection,a small-scale water injection monitoring experiment was carried out in the field.Laboratory experimental results show that,the streaming potential of sandstone specimens is accompanied by the injection process,and with the increase of fluid injection pressure,the streaming potential increases obviously.The field experiments show that the streaming potential is accompanied by the actual injection process also.The higher the surface injection pressure is,the lower the salinity of the injection solution is,and the more obvious the streaming potential is.The research results have a positive effect on improving the efficiency of oil exploitation and saving the comprehensive cost.
