Assessing the Muscle Strength Balance Between Flexors and Extensors at Knee and Ankle in Elite Male

abstract:
The aim of this study was to assess the muscle strength symmetry between flexors and extensors at knee and ankle in elite male water polo goalkeepers.The conventional ratio of knee concentric flexors to concentric extensors was 0.5,0.6 respectively,and that of ankle concentric flexors to concentric extensors was 0.3.The functional mixed ratio of flexors and extensors at knee and ankle was all greater than 1.The all functional mixed ratio of ankle and knee flexors and extensors was greater than 1.The concentric contraction muscle strength of knee flexors and ankle extensors was weaker.The muscle strength between eccentric contraction of antagonist and concentric contraction of agonist was symmetric with ankle flexion and extension.The concentric contraction muscle strength of knee flexors and ankle extensors was weaker.The maximum eccentric contraction muscle strength of flexors at knee was weaker.The muscle strength between eccentric contraction of antagonist and concentric contraction of agonist was symmetric with ankle flexion and extension.
