The dynamic response of corrugated sandwich panel under air blast was simulated by AUTODYN.The three-dimension model was established in software, which includes explosive charge, air, sandwich panel and clamp frames.The fluid-structure interaction between sandwich panel and shockwave was studied, as well as the response process of sandwich panel.The influence of the thickness and yield stress of core and face sheets on the response and energy absorption was investigated.The results showed that the response of corrugated sandwich panel can be divided into three stages:shockwave impact, core compression and integer dynamical response.However, the three stages are coupled during the response.Owing to the high bending stiffness along the corrugation, wrinkling can be observed on the corresponding edge.With the increase of the thickness and yield strength of core and face sheets, the maximum deflection of back face is reduced.In practice use of sandwich panel, the thickness and yield stress need to be rationally designed to balance the economic efficiency and blast-resistance.
