    abstract:
In recent years, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanosheets have become a potential catalyst favored by researchers. However, the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performance of pure MoS2 nanosheets is very limited. In this paper, a series of cobalt-doped molybdenum sulfide (MoS2-Co) nanosheets were synthesized by microwave assisted heating method. The structure was characterized by XRD and XPS, and the morphology was characterized by SEM and TEM. Then the OER of these samples was further characterized. The results show that the catalytic performance of MoS2 can be effectively regulated by adjusting the doping amount of cobalt. The MoS2-Co-2 ( n (Mo)∶ n (Co)=2∶1) drives a catalytic current density of 10 mA/cm^2 with the requirement of an OER overpotential of 220 mV. The striking catalysis performance can be attributed to the favorable electronic structure and electrical conductivity of MoS2 by doping Co. These results provide an important reference for the controllable preparation of the two-dimensional MoS2 electrocatalyst and its OER performance modulation.
