The Biomass Potassium Migration Rule during Coal/Biomass Co-pyrolysis Process

This paper investigates coal minerals, coal char physical structure and oxygen content factors that affect biomass potassium migration during coal/biomass co-pyrolysis process.The results state that the coal minerals and the oxygen content of coal char are the main factors for the biomass potassium re-distribution.With the increase of minerals substance content in coal, migration content of biomass potassium during coal/biomass co-pyrolysis process rises from17.69%to 41.49% (mass percent) .For different oxygen contents of coal, the results show that biomass potassium migration is related to the oxygen content of coal char.However, the coal char physical structure has a little influence on biomass potassium migration during coal/biomass co-pyrolysis process.
