  • Study on Noise Reduction Performance of Bionic Blades of Mining Contra-rotating Local Fan

    When the local fan is working, there is a strong aerodynamic noise due to the high speed rotation of the blade. In order to study the influence of bionic blade on the aerodynamic performance and noise of fan, by reference to the noise reduction performance of the trailing edge saw-tooth shape and the leading edge non-smooth shape of owl wing, the bionic structure design of the blade was conducted for a mine-used rotary local fan. A comparative study was made on the bionic structure of three kinds of blade with saw tooth-shaped trailing edge, crenate leading edge and serrated trailing edge plus crenate leading edge. On the basis of ensuring the aerodynamic performance of the local fan, a large eddy simulation method and an FW-H equation were used to compare the aerodynamic noise performance among the original blade and the three bionic blades of local fan under the same flow rates. The results show that the three bionic blade structures had a certain degree of noise reduction compared with the original blade structure, and the bionic blade structure with both serrated trailing edge and crenate leading edge reduced the noise better than the other two bionic blades with serrated trailing edge or crenate leading edge only.
