    By taking a predestrian bridge(steel bridge) built by the combination of arch-beam in Binhe West Road, Taiyuan as an example, in order to ensure the safe operation of the bridge, the static load test and bearing capacity evaluation were carried out to determine its actual working state.The finite element simulation calculation was carried out by using MIDAS software. The static load test scheme was determined: the loading method of the concrete test block and the square wood support method on the site were selected.The static load test shows that under the test load, the stress and displacement check coefficients of each measuring point were far less than 0.95. The bearing capacity of the pedestrian bridge meets the normal use requirements under the standard load of 4.05 kN/m2, and the structure has moderate safety and rigidity reserve. The test results provide technical basis for the management of the bridge in the future operation stage, and provide useful reference for the design, construction and testing of similar projects.
