To segment PE in macaques based on the anatomical connections of white matter fiber tracts, two PE subregions were defined, one anterior and the other dorsal, by probabilistic fiber tracing. At the same time, a connectivity fingerprint map was drawn with 19 predefined homologous target brain regions for PE and PE subregions. It was verified that PE and PE subregions are similar to human 51 in connection pattern, and inferred that the PE anterior subregion is homologous to the 51. The segmentation results obtained in this study are helpful for PE image connection analysis, and provide new insights into its information interaction and integration at subregional level. This work has important theoretical significance and application value for the precise development of the research on macaque model and the exploration of the unique advanced motor functions of humans. |
