Zea mays L.and Lolium multiflorum Lam were intercropped using the method of pot experiment in order to understand the effect of phytoremediation of sewage river sediment. Contrast test was performed to study the influence of AM fungi on phytoremediation. The results show that plants played a significant role in the degradation of heavy metals in sewage river sediment. The inoculation of AM fungi enhanced the removal of Cd by plants, and improved phytoremediation.AM fungi helped the plants absorb more heavy metals from sediment ,but had little effect on changing the mental form except Cd.AM fungi helped the translation of heavy metal from the under-ground part of plants to the above-ground part. Plant-AM fungi combined remediation is an effective way to degrade organic contaminations, and especially, the degradation of naphthalene. |
