    abstract:
Uniaxial tensile tests were used to determine the mechanical properties of porcine extraocular muscles in vitro. The experimental data were converted into the relationships of stress verse strain. Mooney-Rivilin and Ogden hyperelastic models were used to analyze the corresponding passive behaviors. The hyperelastic parameters identified were used as the input of numerical modeling to establish the finite element models with the corresponding hyperelastic constitutive models, respectively. Compared with the experimental results, the simulation results reveals that Mooney-Rivilin model has more potential for describing the small deformation of extraocular muscles than Ogden model.
