abstract:
For a better understanding of the electrical resistivity characteristics of the red mud, the electrical resistivity tests on red mud were made in laboratory. The red mud electrical resistivity and unconfined compressive strength were measured with different water contents, porosities, and ages under different current frequencies. The relationship between electrical resistivity and each variable was studied. Results show that, the red mud electrical resistivity decreases with the increase of current frequency, water content and the axial strain; it first increases then decreases with the increases of age, which is in contrast to porosity; factors affect each other and work together.
