abstract:
This paper develops a finite element model fully coupling the thermal, electrical and mechanical fields, which can obtain solution simultaneously to study the effect of welding heat input on microstructure and micro-properties of TTS443 ferritic stainless steel. Nugget size deviation was within 10% compared with experimental measurements. The grain growth in the heat affect zone(HAZ) was analyzed in details, on the basis of the welding temperature field of accurate calculation.
