Influence of Moisture Content on the Flow Properties of Fugu Pulverized Coal

abstract:
Flowability of Fugu pulverized coal on different moisture content was investigated by Jenike shear test system and FT4 Powder Rheometer from Freeman technology.Flow function,internal friction,cohesion,wall friction,compressibility percentage,permeability and flow energy were determined.The results show that the pulverized coal had better flow properties,fine permeability,slight cohesion and hard internal friction when the moisture content was between 3 % and 4 %.When the moisture content increased near to 5 %,the flowability became worse,and the cohesion and angle of wall friction became larger.However,when the moisture content increased to around 7%,the coal had a better flowability than before.It had a slight cohesion,a small angle of wall friction,a compressibility percentage tavorable to flowability of the pulverized coal,but a warse permeability.When the moisture content was greater than 9%,pulverized coal became hard to flow because of the action of agglomeration.The results also show that aluminum alloys had a best surface with small angle of wall friction,which can be used as the lining for pulverized coal soils.
