Coverage Enhancement Based on Iterated Weighted RFGP Algorithm in DSNs

abstract:
In this study, a novel distributed coverage-enhancing algorithm, IW-RFGP, was proposed.This algorithm determines the new working direction of a directional sensor node according to the virtual attractive force of uncovered grid points in sensing field.It overcomes the shortcomings of other coverage-enhancing algorithms,such as complicated algorithmic procedure and low rate of convergence.Simulation results show that the algorithm is correct and effective,and has fast convergence speed and significant increase in coverage rate.
