abstract:
Wastewater biological treatment is an approach to purify wastewater though degrading dissolved and colloidal organic pollutants by microbial metabolic activity.Nowadays,wastewater biological treatment technology is attracting more and more attention for its less consumption,high efficiency,convenient and reliable process management and no secondary pollution.In the last decade,focused on wastewater biological treatment,a series of researches have been carried out in our college in anaerobic biological treatment of industrial organic wastewater,microbial community separation and optimization,reactor-building,energy and resource utilization,and recycle of waste activated sludge,and some innovative achievements have been realized.Furthermore,the limitations of wastewater biological treatment are summarized and further research directions are suggested.
