abstract:
This review summarizes the research progress in carbon dots (CDs)-based electroluminescent light-emitting diodes (LEDs). First, the synthesis method of CDs and the working principle of CDs-based electroluminescent LEDs are introduced. Second, electroluminescent LEDs with pure CDs and doped CDs in host as emission layer, and pure CDs as charge transport layer are disscused in detail, and the key factors affecting the performance of CDs-based electroluminescent LEDs are mainly analyzed, including the structure of CDs, the film-forming quanlity of CDs as emission layer, the luminescent properties of CDs, and the device structure. Finally, we also give the current problems and prospect for the future development of CDs-based electroluminescent LEDs.
