Study on the Filtering Characteristics of One-dimensional Si/SiO2 Photonic Crystal in Near Infrared

In this paper, the one-dimensional photonic crystal filter was designed, of which the structure is (Si/SiO2)^ND(Si/SiO2)^N . The filtering characteristics were simulated by transfer matrix method in near infrared band. By comparing the defect materials Si and SiO2, it was found that the value of transmission peak is higher with low refractive index SiO2.
